What is Cyber Patriot Task Force?

Cyber Patriot Task force is a Think Tank initiative taken by SKOCH Development Foundation, a not for profit company recognised as a charity by the Government of India. It is exempt from Income Tax. The objective of the task force is to help Indians who are senior professionals and domain experts to practice their patriotic duty to the motherland by contributing to technology based initiatives that can help alleviate socio-economic problems and make India a $10 Trillion Economy by 2030.


What is expected from a member?

We understand the time pressures that our members have and their need for work life balance. Most of the consultations are on email, calls or online. Smaller work group meetings are held to discuss issues face to face. Members willing to be a part of a particular work group participate in these. Members also contribute in terms of writing papers, comments, critiques etc to make the group inputs better. Time commitment is dependent entirely on whatever the member can accommodate with a patriotically justifiable stretch.


Who can be a member?

Membership is restricted to senior professionals from the government, policy making, legal, industry, technology, regulatory, academia and scientific professions. It is subject to secretariat approval. Members need to join using their official credentials.


What is the expected outcome?

The outcome expected is reports and books that are implementable by the concerned stakeholders to achieve the objectives of making India $10 trillion economy and to help it become a global Cyber Power. The activity would be ongoing in nature.

Is there a membership fee?

There is no membership fee, however the members are expected to cover their own expenses or seek support from their respective organisations for the same.


What do I have to do?

Be involved in consultations and discussions. Contribute through inputs or write-ups, if you so desire.


What is the nature of this involvement?

The involvement is purely voluntary without any financial or legal liability.


How much time I need to commit?

Whatever can fit into your day-to-day schedule, while being patriotically justifiable. Leaving aside paper writing, this may amount to 4-5 man days spread over a one-year time period.


What is in it for me?

Besides the great satisfaction of having served the country, this is a high visibility, high impact exercise where the members will receive national publicity and may even qualify for the prestigious SKOCH Cyber Patriot Award on the basis of the contributions made.
